Farm Quilt - FINISHED!

The farm quilt is finally done and finished!!! I arranged the blocks in four sets of two and four singles and used three different homespun plaids to frame them. I wanted to give it a really country look. I am very, very pleased with the finished product. It cost a lot of hours, but it was well worth it! I would do it again, for sure. I might as well as I still have a lot of fabric left over!

  1. This is great!!! I love it!!! I've been looking for some inspiration for a farm themed quilt for my son's 4th birthday (beginning of December). I'm getting a late start I know, but our third was born at the beginning of August and things are a little crazy around here. But, part of a third sibling means a new bunk bed and his first twin bed in general... needing a fun quilt for their farm room.

Anyway... I'm curious. Were you able to understand/ get in english those plans you linked to at the beginning? Did you already know how to paper piece and just figure it out? How long did it take to finish each square?

I'm still kicking around some ideas (and maybe I could do this one for my daughter's quilt... they share a room) but would love some feedback!

    Thanks!
